Using Stream to Record Up Front Teaching

Often, the teaching you do at the front of the class, explaining tasks and content, can be something you end up repeating a lot for late or absent students.

If you know you are about to deliver some important information, it can be handy to video yourself so that students can refer to that content later.

Use the nine dots at the top left on your Office 365 webpage and find Microsoft Stream.

In the top bar, you should see Create and Record screen or video

By Clicking on the dropdown menu Screen and Camera, you can change what you are displaying: a window, yourself and a window, or just video of yourself. I just set my laptop's webcam aiming at myself and deliver instructions and info to the class as I normally would.

Once you have finished, click stop, and you will find the completed video under My Content in Stream. Post the link in your class team when you are ready (it works just like a YouTube link).
