Using PowerPoint Live for Learners who speak different languages

English Language Learners Teacher Simon Purvis uses PowerPoint Live to support learning in his classes. Students use their smartphone to log in to a PowerPoint Live session, Simon then speaks in a language of his choice, and PowerPoint Live translates his spoken words in to a language of the student's choice. Using a new conference call microphone, feedback from Simon, the class interpreter and the students shows that the accuracy of PowerPoint Live is excellent.

In a recent class Simon spoke English and Portugese and PowerPoint Live interpreted all words in to Chinese with great accuracy.

There is more about PowerPoint Live here. Alternatively, if you would like to know more about using PowerPoint Live with your learners, please see Nathan Walsh the eLearning Leader to learn more.
