Music and Augmented Reality
Hagley College Music Teacher Nanako uses HP Reveal (formerly known as Aurasma) as a tool to help bring her subject to life. HP Reveal converts images or text in to video. Take a look at this video clip to see how it works.
Once Teachers have uploaded a video clip to hpreveal.com, students can use the HP Reveal app on their mobile phone to scan a photograph of the video and the photograph instantly converts to video. Nanako uses HP Reveal to showcase student work and this allows students to gain a better understanding of the different types of the Music on offer at Hagley College. Nanako believes HP Reveal is a fantastic tool to advertise the learning at Hagley College and it so much more interactive and engaging for students than just pictures alone.
This year Nanako aims to use HP Reveal to help students learn about different music notes. For example students can look at an image about a note, and then use HP Reveal to see how it is played and also hear it's sound.
Nanako is very happy to talk to any staff about how she uses HP Reveal, alternatively you may like to discuss HP Reveal with the e-learning leader Nathan Walsh.
